Traditions, songs, dances and cake. Pumpernickel bread and Franz Schubert. Where is your home? Is there still anybody listening? It used to be just us, the familiy, no strangers roaming around and we used to be happy. We used to talk. And sometimes even sing. The Dresdner Gnadenchor captures in their songs both the vasteness and closeness of our homeland. Do the melancholic songs, the humour and charme or do the longing voices bring out a new quality of understanding our traditions and our home? Or is it the unity in movement and songs which is created through the choir and the dancers?
The production is funded by the Federal Cultural Foundation/ Doppelpass Fund,Landeshauptstadt Dresden – Amt für Kultur und Denkmalschutz and Kulturstiftung Dresden der Dresdner Bank.
